Julie Trushenski, MA, LPC
“I do this work because I believe people can grow, heal, and reconnect even when life has been long, complicated, or painful. I’m drawn to walking with people through seasons where clarity feels hard to reach—helping them find steadiness, meaning, and hope without rushing the process.”- Julie Trushenski
Julie works with adults ages 18–80, helping individuals and couples navigate life transitions, relationship challenges, anxiety, grief, chronic illness, and patterns that no longer serve them. Her approach is relational and trauma-informed, focusing on helping clients feel understood, build resilience, and reconnect with what matters most.
Julie brings both professional training and lived experience to her work. Through her own long-term recovery from chronic illness, she understands the emotional and relational impact of ongoing health challenges, including grief, identity shifts, pacing, and rebuilding a meaningful life. She also mentors others within a health recovery program, offering guidance and support as they navigate healing.
Julie began her career in the corporate world and later shifted her focus to raising her three children—now grown—while pursuing work rooted in service, growth, and leadership. She has held leadership roles in volunteer organizations serving children and families in Africa, Haiti, and Costa Rica, including leading international mental health talks.
Julie is passionate about strengthening relationships and restoring connection. She and her husband helped launch ReEngage, a marriage enrichment program, and supported couples in improving communication, managing conflict, clarifying expectations, and deepening intimacy.
Clients describe Julie as warm, steady, and thoughtful, helping them feel less alone and more confident in navigating life’s challenges.
