Jessica Bearden, MA, LPC

Jessica received her MA in Clinical Psychology from Sam Houston State University in 2018 and her BS in Psychology with a Minor in Theatre from Nelson University in 2015.

Jessica provides a judgment-free, hope-focused environment for people to process their past, present, and future. Her eclectic approach thrives on establishing a strong therapeutic relationship and utilizes themes from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS).

She currently works with individuals aged 10 and above, especially teens and young adults. She has experience working with various issues, including adjustment, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and interpersonal conflict.  Common themes she explores with clients include self-accountability, honesty, reframing hardship, self-compassion, goal-setting, identifying values, spiritual issues, and faith-based coping (if desired).

In addition to working with True North, she conducts clinical assessments for children in foster care. Her work history includes providing drug and DWI court-ordered substance abuse treatment and conducting clinical assessments for diagnosis at a local psychologist’s private practice.

When she’s not counseling, Jessica enjoys watching the Astros and college football, reading, writing, theatre, studying theology, working out, traveling, and spending quality time with her husband and four children.
